Its just a case of experimenting, thats what makes this stuff fun.
Just asking, I guess. Yesterday, a boating friend told me that HK has the T180 in stock, so I ordered one. I couldnt let that ship alone so I grab some stuff along the way including a Turnigy 4074 2000kv motor. Currently, my MG has the Turnigy 3674 2200kv, so dunno if grabbing the 4074 2000kv was a waste. Jeesh, it now occurred to me that I need a 40mm water jacket as well.

I am going to get a tripod so I can take vids while driving.
Hmmmm ...........maybe changing to a turbine canopy will make you run 50.3mph??? hahahahahaha - just kidding!

Speaking of turbine canopy, molding is done - so once my worker can produce the first copy, I'll post the pics here. The first copy will go to Jason! :)

              Yepper!

I could sell you guys each fiberglass turbine canopy for US$30 each. Boxed weight is at half a kilo or 1.1lb. Airmail or airparcel of the post office could only accept packages starting at 2 kilos, so the cheapest and only solution would be EMS (Express Mail) of the post office. For half a kilo, EMS will cost US$25 going to US. The upside to this is you'll be receiving it in about 5 days to 1 week only. Airmail/airparcel is 2-3 weeks.

Leader Hobby had a sale awhile back, so I got 4pcs of Nano-tech 2s 5200mah batts to test for my MG. Im running out of 4s batts for my other deep vees, as a single run of MG requires 2 x 4s batts at the same time. Hopefully, the lighter 2 x 2s packs will give the MG a bit speed bump if anything. I would also have to re-design the real estate inside the MG to integrate the bigger T180 when it comes.

Could I possibly entice anyone to post a pic of their T180 inside the MG? I would like to get ideas if possible.

                      Awesome Jason - thanks!
I woke up 5:30 this Saturday morning and its almost 8am - waiting for my workers to arrive to check on the turbine canopy mold and to place a top coat on my gasser boat. Isnt it like a kid waking up on xmas morning?! hahahaha!

Tagasagwan will also be coming in today as he wants my fiberglass workers to reinforce his ekos and skunkworks cats.

srislash is right about experimenting. I'm not sure who's right as to the wattage of these motors but from what I've read on the 4074 motors is the Tacon 4074 2000kv motors have a peak wattage of 2,600 watts or 3.46 horsepoewr. With that you can run an x445 on 4s or even on 5s like srislash said. I guess I must tell you I ran my Tacon 4074 2150kv motor on 6s with at least a 42mm prop and I believe I ran it with a 45mm prop as well on 6s. Even at that it never got warmer than 119 degrees.

I should have thought of that srislash, I also have used the speed calk and it seems to be quite accurate as you can throw in motor efficiency and hull slippage...
