    Feigo or Leopard

Wanted to see if anybody had any input or preference re what motor would be better for top speed on 4s. A feigao 5408xl or a leopard 4074 2200kv. Also preferences between seaking 180esc, turnigy 180esc and swordfish 200a esc to run with either of these motors on 4s and will I have to disable the bec.

The 4074 2200 is a more powerful motor, will draw more amps. Because of the much larger diameter of the 4074 you may have an issue installing it in the stock mount. You may want to find that out first.

And, the Seaking and Turningy are the same esc. The 2200 on 4S will SCREAM in that boat. But as Steven said, Im not sure about the fit.

Oh yeah, I just realized that was your first post. Welcome to the forums.

The Leopards seem to be the craze right now. I have a couple of them. They are great motors for the price and as Steven said, are a bit more powerful than the 36mm Feigaos. I have quite a few Feigaos and I do like them as well.

So you think the leopard would be tight fit. Any other motor that would fit good and be faster than stock set up. Maybe a lot faster while still running 4s

No problem with the fit just have to cut the shaft down. I have a 2200kv 4074 and it does move pretty good. Had no problem keeping up with a 6s spartan and it was my first time in the water so that was with no adjustments pack movement ect... also was using a x642 which is a pretty standard prop just a different pitch over stock.

I was running a hobbywing 150a esc but just picked up a seaking 180a actually I only have 2 or 3 runs on my leopard great motor but just pulled it and installed a cc 1512 1800kv so I can run 5s try and get a little more out of her. A m445 is a great prop with the 4074 2200 just watch your temps and amp loads but you should be able to hit low to mid 50's on 4s with that prop motor and a few adjustments. I'm going for 60 myself not sure if ill get there but I got 2 great motors to try it with

Thanks for all the helpful input. I think low to mid 50's will be good for now, I'm sure not for long but for now.

I also have a spartan had to buy the miss geico because got a taste of rc boating loved it then it blew up its been at traxxas for 2 months. Had to get something to get me back out. Think the geico is an awsome boat just want more speed.
