The longer octura couplers will stay tighter for a longer period of time and are easier to remove the cable from.Steven Vaccaro

No... I just use the standard lock-nut style nuts like come with the Octura stubs.
That's one thing I'm surprised people haven't mentioned... Did you SEE the size of the prop nut on these things?? My first reaction was "What the He!!"...That props NOT coming off!! Hahahahaha...

Its a collet style like the proboat, but grabs more of the flex cable. It has two motor set screws. But the screws are not what normally loosens. Its the cable side that will sometimes lose grip.
