Batterys ?

I was hoping to get some opinions on battery size and type. I am a little unsure with Lipo , i am new to batterys and using brushless systems.I also read it is best to run full speed with brushless boat motors?

I am also in same dilema, i did check out that thread, but it didnt really help...

i vaugeley remember a post maybe by Obrien that had a link to what lipos to go with?

i have also heard rumours of guys running 2 x 8.4 lipo packs , is this possible? and also a mate of mine is running 18V 2 packs in series.

Lipos have a nominal voltage of 3.7v per cell, 2 cells in series(2s) is thus rated at 7.4v, when fully charged a 2s pack has 8.4v. if you run an odd combo (5s) you'll get 18.5v(21v fully charged). hth

has anyone tried 3s or 4s lipos? i have a mate running 5s x 2 in series?
