Thanks. I just picked this boat up a week ago and have removed the battery trays and put velcro down to the end of the motor and all the way back so i have an option. Anything you guys know that could help with speed before buying anything?

and do you mean put the front of the batteries even with the most forward part of the motor towards the bow?

cool thanks. Did you do anything with yours to get a little more speed? Or is that probably what i should expect all stock with these batteries?

So from what the majority sounds like on these posts i should just save and purchase lipos. Any higher rating with nimh will just mean longer run time and heavier boat?

                    Check this thread.. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ead.php?t=9394
You'll also need a decent lipo charger.

Yeah i will definitely go lipo when the money is in the bank. ha ha someday. But i think right now im goin to stick with what i have and make the smaller upgrades first. I'm thinking metal prop. Good choice and whats a good size?

                        X640, X642 are good choices.

I was also wondering about how many times i should grease the flexshaft. I've been doing it every three runs

Depends on the lube. Every 2-3 runs sounds fine.
