    Ahaha I meant cowl! I don't know what got into me. But anyway, what does cg mean? And where would I add the weight to? While browsing around the site I also noticed that people were removing their battery trays and placing the batteries further forward, so I'll probably do that.

      cg= Center of Gravity

      Removing the battery trays are one of the first things that are needed to be done in order for the SV to handle it the way the owner would want it to. So yes, get that done before your next outing.

      You add weight to the area right under the can of the motor on the hull.

        Ohh alright cool, thanks a lot I'll get that done :)

        I want to upgrade the motor and I've been looking at the 8XL. Is this a good upgrade for the SV27? Also, if I get the motor, do I have to get a new ESC also?

          Yes, with the 8xl you will need a new esc.
          However, i do have a motor for sale that will work with your esc and will put you in the low 40s.
          PM me if your interested.

                  I dont know a whole lot actually about them, but the 8xl can produce more wattage then the 12L, the 8xl has more torque.

                  Im runnin a 8xl now..

                    Do you have any videos of the boat with the 8XL in it? I think I wanna buy the 8XL...

                    It'd be great to see a video! :D

                      Your going to need a much bigger esc as well.
                      No videos yet.

                        So if I get the 8XL I'll also need to purchase the CC Hydra 120, correct?

                          I wouldnt suggest running only a 120amp esc.
                          Ive seen the stock set up pull about 90 amps.

                          I would stay above 150 amps for the esc.
                          Im running a 180amp controller with mine.
