Well....... I beached it the other day....... eyes aren't what they used to be. Depth perception is bad at my salt pond, plus it was low tide... Ran it up the beach, lost the prop, bent the turn-fin,and bent the rudder pin... SUCKS!!!! SO now im sanding and repairing some scratches and clear coating the hull. Also added some fiberglass and resin to the nose that had a little ding.

Ahh! That sucks! You should get some nylon breakaway screws for next time. With those, if you ever beach it again the rudder will simply snap out of place, and not damage itself. Then you just replace the nylon screws.

      Good luck with your repair!

Oh damn that really does suck then. Haha. Don't over tighten them next time!

I'm hoping for better water conditions next week to get a better top speed from my sv :)

When i bought the boat it did'nt have one, so i just took the one bolt out and put the nylon one in... did'nt even mess with the other bolt... but its loose now!! LOL so i won't have to worry again.

So you only replaced one bolt? Haha, that doesn't sounds like the right thing to do!

Did you replace both?? I thought you just replaced the bottom one, so the rudder would wing up... You don't want both nylons...not very strong.. hmmm only seen pics of people replacing the bottom one.

Oh really? Sorry about that. I haven't actually replaced mine, since I never run it anywhere shallow. I just figured you'd replace both.

You're right though, it makes sense, just as long as the top one isn't too tight.

Yup he did! And also, Jan at Kintec just got the new ones in with the Leopard 4074 and the better strut. I think it's the Stinger. I should get it by next week :)

And awesome! Can't wait to hear about them!
