    New SV27 owner

I've got one of these on the way. Are there any issues that I need to watchout for from the beginning?

I'm going to be running lipos so I know I will need a cut-off for those.

Welcome to the forum. What part of NC are you located in? Here's a good cut-off http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...hld-32&cat=136. Your going to need to remove the battery trays first and formost and recommended prop is a grim 42x55, try only to run lipos above 4000mah and at least 20c. Happy boating!

That boat does some pretty cool flips when you drive it agressive.

I've had it out twice now.

It does indeed flip easily. Fortunately it has landed upright each time.

                        So two questions:

                        1) It takes FOREVER to get on plane. Can I improve this? I'm running a completely stock setup with two 2s lipos.

                        2) After I ran it for 10-15 minutes, I pulled it out of the water, and had some of the coolant water get on my arm. While it didn't actually burn my arm, it was hot enough for me to want it off of my arm rather quickly. Is it normal for it to run that hot?

Yes that is the prop the 42x55 is also a good prop but needs to be balanced and sharpened or you can get pre done on balanced and sharpened props.
