    noob motor ques.

Hi everyone, like most here I was lurking for a couple days and then decided to join. Just a ton of info, I have been in the RC truck hobby (nitro and electric) for about 12 years and decided to buy a friends boat, "yup" you guessed it a SV27 It needs some TLC but in good shape, anyway I had to get my hands into it so I removed everything except the hardware (it is sealed pretty gd) I pulled the motor out and noticed that the motor shaft is hard to turn in my hands is this normal and when I do turn it, it feels like motor with a big cam in it. Is this ok?

Its normal. The stock motor is a 6 pole 1800kv motor with lots of power. You can upgrade to different options but the stock motor does pretty well as is. Welcome to the world of electric boating!

And regards from Finland and thx for this forum!

SV27 is the best choice and I really enjoy the boat. Unfortunately rough conditions have kept me out of water. Now I will go for some lipos + a Turnigy motor (upgrade).

Thanks to Jan at Kintec Racing for all help & advices!
