New to the Boating World have a few ????

Reciently bought a SV 27 and have been reading a lot of the different post and had a question about adding foam to the hull for floating in case of an accident.

Has anyone ever used the spray foam in their boat? Would this work, or cause problems?

Second question is do the stock ESC's have a AVC for Lipo batteries, I have heard that it starts to studder as a warning then will shut off if you don't bring her in? Anyone have experience with this? If it doesn't could you reccoment a auto cut off.

    Thanks for the help.

Spray foam works great,,,just use low expansion foam and add a little at a time over several days, always allowing the foam to fully dry before adding more the next day. Add about a tennis ball size amount at a time.

This boat does not have an LVC. The stutter bump system you are refering too is on the UL-1. Not sure on which lvc's most guys on this site are running, i currently use nimh in my sv27. Hopefully this helps a little.

Thanks for the quick responses one more question for now

I got my boat today and got to looking it over, I have seen sevral post were people suggest moving the batteries forword in the boat. to do this right i'm guessing I need to remove the stock battery trays. Is there an easy way to do this that someone would like to share.

And second to you move the trays forword or just velcro the batteries to the hull?

        Thanks

The forward part of the battery tray pop right off. I epoxed velcro straped to the hull itself. I also attached foam to the cowl, use radio tape to secure the cowl down as well BEFORE EVERY RUN... TRUST ME
