    Crashed my SuperVee

I have had issues with this boat since I got it (factory lemon) but completely stripped it down and rebuilt it, and on my 2nd run I wrecked it It is still in remarkably good shape after the crash, but I gave it to my brother. That's the 5th time we've had to retrieve it so I told him if he wanted to mess with it he could have it. Here's the vid:

Boat looked to be running VERY wet in the video.

I ran my SV with a feigao 8xl and 16 nimh cells and it was considerably faster then what you've got in that video.

Tell your brother good luck with the rebuild.
Looked like driver error, need to be more careful next time.

Looked like a good run but I don't see what you were going for. The pass between the two rocks then you would of hit the tree. I hope it was a instrumentation failure because in the vi it looks like you wrecked a nice SV.

It was very wet in the water, didn't have the time to adjust it but it was very stable.

My steering trim was off and I had slowed down to adjust the trim when I hit the rock (if you watch a little before I hit it wasn't trimmed out right). The radio problem was only with range, it kept cutting out at the other end of the pond and we had to go get it. Not too smart to run that close to shore with rocks, I know, but I just got too close and was paying more attention to adjusting the knob than where the boat was going.

It will see water again. My brother, a friend of his, and myself are all interested in getting it fixed up and running again so if one of us won't do it there is backup. If one of them fixes it I may buy another one, it was a great boat but mine was just problematic from the very beginning and once I finally got it all worked out I crashed it.

Hope you get it all fixed up. I have really enjoyed my SV.

Yeah, not the greatest but I was hoping it would be OK until I could replace it with something better. I have a Spektrum DX 2.0 and a spare SR3000 but I've heard Spektrums have issues on water.

When it gets back in the water we'll fix that, get the last inch or so of the hull in the water maybe for stability but otherwise crank it up!

Yep, it'll be fixed. I'm really looking forward to seeing it run again, I really liked the boat it was just a PITA. I may buy another one after I get my UL-1 and get my tunnel built.

So the DX 2.0 will be OK? I have one and even have a spare Rx for it, I was worried about the ranage issue though so I kept the stock radio (which is probably worse than the Spektrum could possibly be though). The boat is waiting on electronics right now, the weather is supposed to be getting better soon and it's possible we may have it running again before the end of the season.
