    External BEC Useful in Revolt?

Does the Revolt 30 benefit from an external BEC (voltage regulator), such as the Castle? Is the BEC in the ESC capable of supplying enough voltage and current to the rudder servo at full throttle? On an more general note, is there a rule of thumb for when an external BEC is necessary or helpful?

    Thanks.

A friend of mine runs an external RX pack vs. using the internal BEC to reduce the stress on the ESC. I also run an external RX pack on one of my racing boats (OPC Tunnel, has a high stress load on the servo) that uses the UL1 + 60A ESC. If you are not seeing glitching and if the ESC is not running hot I would not bother changing it.

Whether a particular esc set up has a built in bec & works fine it will be under less stress using a separate rx power supply, for me personally any thing that helps reduce stress on the esc is a good thing. Separate LiFe packs are so light the extra weight is not a factor at all.

What capacity (mAh rating) of LiFe battery do you use, and where do you get them?
