    Prop shaft broke

Ran my new mc today. Wow, it ran as if it was on rails. Fast and handled great. Got in about 3 packs and suddenly boat stalled. After retrieving, find that the prop shaft at the rear completely broken off and prop and nut all gone. Is this the common problem with this boat? Do you think aqua craft will replace the cable and the prop under warranty?

They should replace it with no problem. My stock shaft lasted about 15 runs.
I bought the OSE upgraded shaft.

I haven't even run mine yet and I installed the OSE prop shaft.

I would call AC and see what they will do for you. It really shouldn't break this quickly. It really shouldn't break for a LONG time as long as it's lubed properly.

I wonder if they will just replace only the prop shaft or the whole ensemble. I think they should give me a new prop as well don't you think?

Should replace everything , unless you had and aftermarket prop.

everything was bone stock. First time I ran the boat since buying it last week.

ok guys, I'm going to place an order at OSE for their prop shaft as well. What other parts might I need to pick up from them to ensure my boat keeps running for a long time?

I just had the same thing happen to mine, 15 sec in the water, must be my 40c lipo's created too much torque, again everything is stock. OSE is out of stock on the shafts, and I called customer support and they said wait till end of the month. It sucks this was my first new boat in 5 years and it ran for about 100feet. Any other options out there for a shaft, drive dog and nut. I am really new to boats so and help or links would be great.

If you have some basic hobby skills you can buy any .150 shaft that the stub shaft is already joined (I prefer Hughey brand) and cut it to the correct length. I have instructions on how to do this in the follwing thread. the flex shaft instructions start on post #17....
