Can props be sleeved??

just orderd some props that had a 4mm shaft dia. and the prop drive I have now is 3.17 dia. .......... so am hoping they can be sleeved down to fit the 3.17 drive

I needed 36 dia props and the only ones I can find were 4mm , so am learning the the3.17 props only go up to a certain dia prop then switches over the 4mm............

Yes, piece of brass tubing. Some props even come with reducing sleaves.

while I know 4mm dog drive is a thing, 4mm threaded is much more common.
If it is 4mm threaded I wouldn't sleeve it, the tapping frill size for m4 is 3.3mm, but you will be lucky if after tapping that is consistent enough to maintain prop balance.
