I want to do a brushless conversion on a gecko mini boat and keep it inexpensive could I use a small are plane esc possibly and with what motor ? Prop would also be my next question. The boat needs a prop shaft but already has turn fin and trim tab upgrade done.thanx

small aircraft esc? sure. depending on motor and prop and power"voltage" as to what size aircraft esc that depends. If this is a first build and you wanna go water cooled though. I would go with one from OSE allready cooled. I have seen the mini gecko but dont know the specs. Any pictures and sizes would really help on motor selection. Im pretty sure you could go with a L size motor on a lower wind with small prop and around 60-70Amp esc. Just a guess from what Ive seen the hull running. Definately go with a 7.2V or Maybe 11.1V lipo. Again post a couple pics if possible and some dimensions and what kinda speeds your looking for and budget.
