I'm thinking of picking up either a hydro or deep vee for a change of hull types, but was wondering why certain rudder systems are better to use on different hulls. I know that in most cases a hydro runs a rudder and turn fin on one side depending on the direction of the race but if you wanted to go in both directions regardless of hull type, wouldn't you want an inline rudder strut system and two turn fins to keep the left right turns the same?
off set, inline, or double rudders?
