First, I really like the way this blackjack looks and runs. I did a prop change and she fly's well over 70 mph. The problem is the plastic hull can't take it. I have two choices, buy another bj hull and try and reinforce it, (but have a feeling it will eventually fail). Another option is to replace the hull with a fiberglass hull and move the electronics over. Has anyone had luck reinforcing the hull and the boat lasting? Any recommendations for a cat that I can move the electronics over to. 4685 1350 kv motor, I have a few esc that can run 8s.
Cracked BJ 42 Hull- What replacement hull?

lol! Love this! I almost spit my drink. I’m going to patch her up just to run till ose maybe gets a cheeta in the next two months. I might start breaking out the duck tape till she’s totally done.Comment

I can also get you a slightly blemished brand new blazer marine whiplash GV hull for $350. the blemish is in the mold lines being slightly visible requiring bondo work to be seamless, which has already been done at the factory. they are large gas hydro hulls 44" long you can convert to electric. basically its a bare hull with 5" wide wood runners. OSE sells motor mounts for 5" gas rails.

Thanks for the offer on the blazer hull. I really like the cats where I run as it's always choppy in the afternoon. I think the Falcon 41 will be the replacement boat for the blackjack electronics. I'm going to patch the boat up and run it Monday, but it's on limited time. The plastic just can't take the 70+ mph crashes.Comment
