    Brushless Avenger/ Spider Help

Does anyone out there have a suggestion for a brushless system to use on a .21 Avenger/ Spider outrigger? What motor, speed controller and batteries to use? This would make a great FE!

    Thanks!

I believe this boat when finished with hardware, radio and K&B 3.5 inboard weighs about 5 3/4 LBS. Hope that helps. ?? Not sure of the dimentions (in the attic right now) but I can get them and add a pic too if needed...Anyone with ideas yet?

    Thanks.

                  I'd use a 1521 1D on 4S2P with a Hydra 240ESC... Then I'd HANG ON...

However... in lieu of the recent offering on OSE for the Fiego 580L sized motors... I'd consider the 580 6L wind as a lower cost alternative... I'm guessing the dang thing would still FLY...

You can also power it using a Neu 1515 1Y on 4S...

All of these combos would make a NAMBA Legal P-Hydro...

                    Maybe a KB45XL on 4s.

But if you told us what your budget is and how fast you wanted to go, the guys on here could tell you an exact setup that will do exactly what you want. (as long as your wishes are within reason)

Hey Darin! Wow! I was just reading Mr. Krabbs build today and was wondering if the application he was using (the same one you are reffering to- 1521 1D) would also work on mine! You read my mind!!! Thanks very much for your thoughts!

Hey there j.m.! Yeah...I wish I had deep pockets for this project! I really don't know what I am willing to spend. I know that the 40 sized Avenger (glow) will easily do 70 mph all day if dialed in correctly, so I was thinking somewhere in the mid 50's to be realistic about it.

A 1521 would be perfect if you can afford it.

Maybe the feigao 580 6L would be alright.

Stick with What Darin says. He knows what he's talking about.

                          Thanks j.m.!

I have been a nitro boater for several years and just started to see the light of day with brushless/ lipo power. I am building the Renegade Rigger and the Rigged Insanity. Between you guys, for help, this OSE forum and my two new projects, I think I will learn something that is interesting to me!! Thanks so much! Oh yeah, by the way, I think you are right about Darin's knowledge on this stuff. I have noticed that he Posts alot on here, and has some good insight on things in general.
