    Maxing Out ProBoat Shockwave 26 on 3S & 4S

I'm about to part with my first FE boat, so I figured I'd take some GPS measurements. I'm using a Garmin eTrex Vista, it's a tad heavy at 5.7oz. I modded the boat for much more strut adjustment, as it really had almost zero adjustment stock. I made a 2-pc speedmaster-type bushing and 2-pc stuffing tube for that. I used an Octura coupler which needed a custom motor mount. Beyond that & the radio, it's stock.

    3S, stock 30A ESC, 2000kv 3650 4-pole motor:
    s/b Octura X445: 31.1mph
s/b TFL 42mm: 26mph (max after trying all sorts of cupping/bending!)

    4S, Flycolor 150A ESC, 2000kv 3650 4-pole motor:
    s/b Octura M445: 38.9mph
s/b Octura X442: 41.3mph (way too hot after just 3 short passes)

I ran this boat more than once a week all last year mostly with 4S batteries and the X445. I ran the 30A for a few weeks with several 3S packs w/o any cool-down period between. I tested the 3S speeds with it set for 4S, but I think it can use a little more angle when on 3S. Regardless I think the M or X445 are great sport props if you want speed.

I don't have vids of the 4S tests, but here's a vid of it hitting 31mph on 3S:
