would it be possible for the more experienced boaters to show us how to design a cap bank for a particular boat, esc, batteries? I'm at the stage where I need a bank and would like to know how to do figure it out. If ok with you, I will list my boat, etc and maybe you guys can chime in. Its my own design rigger that is gas engine size, 48" overall. Old school design comparable to a crapshooter with running pads underneath instead of rear sponsons. Laying one up now, fiberglass with gelcoat finish. motor will be T.P. 5670 840kv. 10s 10,000 mah, using 4 revos at 5s each. Swordfish 300 hv lite. Square cable drive. your help , as always, is appreciated.

Why do you think you need a cap bank? I know they don't hurt but my 10s saw mono ran an 1100 kv motor and SF 300esc and I didn't need a cap bank.
Try using the search function and you will find OSE sells the caps you need. They need to be soldered as close to the esc as possible. I solder mine right on top of the power lead that's soldered to the esc. http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/search.php

With 10S2P (because of the extra wiring) I would use a cap bank, cheap and easy insurance. Yeah it's not exactly "needed" but your electronics will appreciate it. I've leaned my lesson and puffed up cap's because I was too lazy and impatient to bother with a bank, it's cost me $400 in repairs and all could have been prevented with 10% that cost. Like Mark said above, just get them from OSE.Comment
