Steerable Direct Drives on a Cat?

I'm just curious if anyone has built a catamaran with steerable drives? Something like a scale Skater or MTI? I've seen a few twin mono hulls using these WD200's but never on a catamaran. Pros and cons of using these for a semi-scale appearance? I'm not looking to break any speed records. MHZ NXT Z drives and the ones from ArrowShark are way too expensive.

These are basically a steerable struts. This means that the flex cable will need to be unsupported for a small distance. The amount side to side movement would be less than you need for a rudder because the prop thrust helping to turn like a jet boat. I have an old Graupner "Systems" cat that has a steerable strut that I converted to brushless and it works fine. Running it on 4S 1800KV the 4mm cable runs unsupported outside the hull for 4 inches. Turns great WFO. It is a shrunken Sprint Cat though.
