    wiring cap bank

    I am presently wiring a cap bank with (5) 1000 mf 50 volt capacitors. do i wire all the pos. together and all the neg. together?

        No. In your SAW application you want each cap to cross the positive and negative power leads. Your caps are too big to wire all the positive and negative leads together before they connect to the power leads. Putting them all together on a pigtail will reduce their effectiveness significantly if used on your powerful high rpm setup. Here is how I did it, the result was a reduction of ripple on 6S from 3.3 volts to just one volt at 260 amps. Highly effective in increasing performance and reducing ESC damage.

          On my saw set up I use a Hifei hv cap banks and I don't think is crossed but will check it out...anyway good info here.Thanks Gill

                    Sorry, getting off subject kinda but fluid what setup du u have on thos boat
                    Have the same one with a 4092/1390 leo
                    And sordfish220pro + on 6s wondering if should add cap bank

                    Could u show a schematic of how u wired ur cap bank and how u soldered them together thanks mike

                      I was interested in an underside view myself. I ordered some caps the other day so I'll be needing info on how they are wired up myself.....

                        The hydro is a SAW setup using 6S1P and 8S1P - so it needs all the help it can get. I'll try to take a pic tonight of the underside. All the caps are glued together with E6000, then soldered to the power wires.

                          Ya if u cross caps pooffffff my gut fleeling is parallel + to red - to black up the line but not sure
