    Damn Ray.
They have been the bullet of choice for me for years, & I was about to order another batch.
    Thanks for the timely warning.
Just like you, I've still got them on batteries over 4 years old. A few have lost some plating & need replacing. But most are still fine.

    Cheers.
    Paul.

I can get Castle locally so I might just go that route. HK said I need to fill out an RMA and or take pictures to show the difference. I'll get on that shortly. They may not need me to send them back if my claim is valid. One time I ordered a 6S pack from them for a buddy and it came with one bulged leaking cell. I made a video and they sent me a new pack but, my buddy had to pay for shipping, odd but, whatever. Customer service hasn't been too bad for me there but, I've been lucky I suppose with only 3 or 4 issues over the many years. Mot like Steve, he's never really made a mistake except once in my favor. Steve sent me a pair of 1/4" Speedmaster struts instead of one and he basically said don't worry about it. I put it in the raffle prizes for the Nat's since I'll never need it. That's cool...

Hey Ray, no fried connectors , something shook loose on the board of my 40/160 after that 50mph rail rub , popped a couple of fets on the 6 year old sch. It's off for repair, and will be good for another 6 years, Best $535.00 I ever spent in this hobby. How many thousands have you spent on those awesome esc's from HK in the last 6-7 years.... I Still have some ancient Thunder power packs that are that name brand crap you talk of and they are still solid .. can't tell you how many of the turnagy/ nano tech packs have puffed or are damn near impossible to balance that I've had to chuck.
Just buy the 5.5 plugs from Steve , spend the extra couple of buck and have them in a week .... no grief.
Are you going to the race in Ottawa ?

          Cheers, Jay.

The XT150's used to have 7.6mm of contact length and now have 6.2mm.

Definitely going with Castle or MP Jet stuff, theirs look very nice too.

Didn't bother with the XT150's. I'll take pics of them after HK gets back to me.

            this is not good Ray

It's all good Jay. I saw you twice try to plug in your Sniper and two big blasts. Didn't want to bother you as you were busy and last time I interrupted you at London race 2 years ago, I distracted you and you accidentally dead shorted a pack. Sorry about that. I wanted to try and help with your sniper but felt it was best to let it go. That many cells freak me out. I still have my first set of Poly RC cells that are 7 years old, still run fine for testing etc. I love this banter we share, keeps me on my toes, lol...
Actually I have only burnt one esc from HKing, a T240 and it was all my fault. First if you recall I cheaped out on Nanotechs 35C crap and burnt them up in London 2 years ago. The next year, same boat, in Michigan I put in Dinogy's and much better but, the esc that was 1/2 done from the burning cells gave up the ghost so that's under $500. Lets see, I cooked an esc in my P-mono a SF200 6S bought from OSE but, it went because I made a faulty cap bank that shorted out. In Michigan last year my LSH got the flaming MOE twice burning up a pair of UL-1 motors and a pair of $50 Hi-model YGE clones because I over propped it like the green mono. Before that I had bought about 6 Suppo esc's at $35 each and all burnt up except 3 I have that still work great. It's not the equipment in my case that was bad, more the operator. So, if you total it all up over approx. 7 years I may have come close to $1000 of burnt stuff but, not multiple thousands, cripes, I don't even own that much stuff. I know Schulze doesn't do repairs for free and shipping is at least $20 each way so that $535 does climb. It's all good buddy. This year in Michigan, no flames, no smoke, no problems, just a few trophies
                It's all a learning curve.

                See you at 50 Point.

Sorry I can't whip your azz in Open mono, I want to keep the SF240 handy in case the SF200 8S isn't up to my standards or the amp draw needed and the 240 is out of my big mono BUT, if I get to 50 point on Friday and the SF200 can handle the Custom TP motor, I'll try to have the big green machine ready for Sat & Sunday. I really only wanted to run LSH, P-Mono and Q-Sport Hydro though because of charge time. The esc I wanted for my Q-Sport is not in stock and even if it was it would not get here before next weekend.
I always look forward to running with you Jay, you are a great guy.

When do you want to start the Whip's?? We'll talk next weekend... After thats built, you'll really like it for P-Sport, great boats.

They are mostly airplane and heli but it comes in handy for batteries and connectors. If you look them up on google they are an internet retailer. I have them local so I can't vouch for shipping times.

Hi Ray, the question was how many thousands not the one you burnt..... LMAO !! I"ve been waiting for 6 years top whip my a$$ in open mono . I Race mostly nitro guys some of them are tuff to beat (Olly). this is going to be my first wood build so every one on OSE should have a hoot over the winter watching this one !! We all have trophy's from racing but your only as good as your last race. this weekend should be lot of fun good folks really nice site, mixed classes . Are you going to run in open sport hydro since your sooo fast ...... I'm going to see if I can finish my heats that's my own personal trophy
Wendy's coming eh? you guy's are fun to hang with , build her a good sized boat ...really the N2 will be for you to race I could see through that a mile away....
                        Cheers, Jay.

6 years.... Haven't had the green mono that long have I?? lol... I'm running in Q-sport because there are other Q-sports. Some guys like Pags I think have dropped out so I want to make sure there is a class. I'm still working out a few bugs in the Whip.

yep, Wendy is coming, trying to make it a light weekend and I'm driving if the canopy fits in the car back seat. Wendy says she wants a N1 mono because that's all she can handle. She liked that class in Michigan so, she now has an empty DF23 for me to build for her.

I never said my Q-sport was that fast, Pete aka Shooter did. It was slowest on last run with the crushed and very binding stuffing tube.

It's a lot of speed to get used to and I've only ran the boat 8 times, 48 laps max, freaky fast for me since I've only really ran up to P classes until this year.

I do really want to team up to build the Whips, I'm getting better with each one I build. Larry has taught me well on how the Whip likes to run and as you saw in MI, Whips get to the podium.

There is an ESC at Hobby King suited for High voltage and 2 pole motors for you while you're waiting for Schulze and it might cost the same as shipping and repairs, I KEED! Doesn't run for crap on 4 pole motors but, seems to tick well on 2 poles like Lehners... Just sayin'

I'll just add this about the connectors.
I ran a couple of Revolectrix 6s packs in on the weekend in my 36" Ariane II.
They come with the new style of bullet as standard. They didn't get hot at all.

They've got plenty of power. I've only tried the Silver Series 5500mah packs. But I only charge them up to 4.2V/cell for racing. Not the 4.27V/cell that they are capable of.
