How to adjust and maintaince the flex shaft on tfl smash shark?

Hi, i need to clear things up about mounting the flex shaft on the tfl smash shark.

On another boat it needs to be 10-20mm small gap between drive dog and the stinger.
On this tfl boat i could not adjust so i get a gap between stinger and prop because it have two piece flex? After i have mount the flex is isnt a way to adjust the gap? I have read that the flex shaft could get together a bit under load so we realy need this gap..

This is how i do it:
Loosen the little set screw on motor coupler
Loosen the 10mm nut on motor coupler
Screw off the stinger, them i could pull out the flex from behind after removing the stinger.
But when i connect everything i could not adjust the prop with drive dog so its get the small gap between drive dog and stinger, i also could drag and pull the prop about from 0-20mm after i have mount everything.

How could i do this and adjust it so the prop side have 10-20mm gap like other boats should have? The manual is not mutch of help.
    Thanks for reply

The flex system on the Smash shark is a 2 piece system, the stub shaft is separate to the flex. You get no flex wind up that on a 1 piece system would pull the dog towards the stinger, its normal to use very small gap between the dog & stinger with the 2 piece system as the dog is designed to run against the Teflon washer & stinger.
