I am sure the speed is exciting, just wish you have a bigger lake to stretch the runs, good luck!
Too many boats, not enough time...

So what's the verdict after all the advice? Are you going to stick with 6s or power down to 4s or 5s? Curious to know!

6s and 5s My TP 4050 2600kv, ill run on 5s in my geico 24. Them motors be going hard. My catamarans run sweet. At the pond, other members complementing me on my boats performance and stability at high speeds. They make me feel like an expert, but little they know. I have to go behind close doors to get the knowledge from you guys.

That little pond on 6s is a surefire way to burn up your esc. All that low to mid speed running with the throttle blips is much harder than running the ESC wide open. All that extra energy is getting dumped into your esc as waste heat. Combine that with a low volume of water entering the system due to low speed and constant turning means the heat will continue to build with little cooling water to carry it away. Unless your runs are quite short, this is a recipe for

I realize this guys. I was just testing, checking temps vs the other times that I'd run in the mud hole with bigger prop. I will be looking for a bigger body of water now.

Ive bore out my cooling jacket nipples. I think that along with the extra water pickup helped setup stay cool. Esc wasn't even getting hot.. ESC was more cool than warm.that surprise me.

                    Hey There Rude,
It looks like you have things coming along just like you want them to. You've certainly heard enough about the additional risks of a hot setup, no need to go there any more. Your last runs look much better, continuing to practice full throttle runs will help out greatly. I hope you find yourself a bigger body of water so you can enjoy some long wot runs, I like going as fast as I can to, but there is a lot to be said of boats that can run 40mph plus and carve up the pond at wide open throttle. I would he willing to bet once you have had a chance to really stretch your legs you will start to see carving things up is a blast to. Congrats on findings a setup your happy with and best of luck with it!
