Ive tested the 4060 2040kv on 4s and the speed turned me off. I like the 6s performance. Im gonna test the 4060 in my spartan traxxas with 442 prop on 6s.

"OSE Suggests 20,000-35,000 total rpm for boats. We suggest most Fast Electric Boaters should run in the 25,000RPM range for Sport Boating or 30,000RPM Range for racing. These are only guidelines, we suggest if you do not have the knowledge to pick the correct motor, please consult us first or other members of the rc fast electric boating community. Either at a local club or on our OSE Forums."

I bring a fire extinguisher on the days that I push setups. I suggest keeping it in the trunk at all times when you go to the lake.

Is my test with 442 prop gonna result in a fire using tp 4060?

Well. the only way to find out is to test it the way you want it, I can totally understand your dissatisfaction with the 4s runs, but....
Monos have the largest wetted area riding surface, so a 442 may not be small enough. I am really not here to give you advice, but since you asked the question...
Please understand, my first sentence was not meant at making fun of you, but I do think first hand experiment is necessary sometimes and fires and explosions are just part of the deal.
Too many boats, not enough time...

it might. the rotor could explode, shatter the magnets, lock up and cook the esc. I did this with a much larger motor a few times....

People gave you very good advice so that your boat will survive, the setup you're describing guys usually would drop coin a lehner or neu motor to spin that kinda rpm, so its a roll of the dice. I have had quite a few battery fires, escs, everything. Anything can happen when you try to cut corners and it happens real quick.

to be honest, I would worry more about setup and maximizing speed on 4-5s by using different props, strut angle, etc. spinning wicked rpm is great. when you're already running fast at lower rpm and have maximized your potential.

Test it and let us know, i Think it will work for you.
Check the Esc log after and see what it says.
Octura X440, X442 and X440/3 are all good props.
