    Dumas Skater Brushless setup

First off hello to everyone, I have been browsing the forum on and off for the last few months and finally decided to join. Seems like there are a lot of great members who really know what they are doing here,

A little background I don't have a lot of R/c experience but I did start with a traxxas villain a few years back and just recently completed my first brushless boat. Its a 32" tunnel hull that had a K&B 7.5 that I converted to 6s brushless.

My next project that I would like to start gathering parts for and complete next winter is to complete a FE dumas skater. I've had a bare hull a few years now, I know there are some better hulls out there but my dad actually had a skater when I was growing up so it is pretty special to me.

Goals for the project are basically a reliable boat that can run 50-60 and have a run time somewhere between 5-8 min. From what I have come up with I believe 8s is probably where I would like to be. I am leaning towards running 2 4s packs with 7200 Mah and a leopard 5692 with 1090 KV.

I have also considered the castle 2028 because I really like castle products but 780 kv just seems a little low for this boat on 8s. Let me know what you guys think and what you would use if it was your boat. Cost wise I would like to keep it reasonable but I understand that as with most things in life you get what you pay for.

    Thanks, Drew
