    Hello,
I am sorry to say, this is beginning to look like a can of worms, yes, the owner wants to improve this for all of us, but for those of us who don't care or rely on these social networking , overdoing/relying on it is not the final answer. I think the basic format we have is quite good. I for one will not go to Facebook or Twitter to look for any product or reviews. Sorry.
I run away from these things, laugh all you want!
Too many boats, not enough time...

I would "like" this if there were a "like"button
        Good idea
Still waiting for OSE to carry carbon fiber. I know it's off topic but hey.....

I agree with every word! Facebook and twitter would be a waste IMO.

I think if a business does not change with the times, it will die. I like getting sales and new product info on facebook or in emails from a few hobby sites that I have selected. Other vendors are already doing it, so why not OSE?

I don't think you need facebook or twitter as boaters know you are the best boat site and rely on you. Also save you the expense of modifying the site. The way it is setup is great and people are used to going to sectors and ordering their parts. Sears did a change and older people said they screwed up and don't go there any more. I've heard this a lot. Now as far as getting upgrades on new products thru email is just another clotting as we get enough stuff now to delete. Leave things as they are and is easy to find. You have a rep for fast shipping and honesty and boaters rely on that.

Perhaps icons associated with boat size and type. For instance 28"-36" mono parts 28"-36" tunnel parts. Or a drop down menu to search for things. Boat type mono, Boat length 36", Motor and ESC, Upgrades etc... etc.... I often find parts and what not through the back door if you will. A simple search although it may be accurate does not always provide the intuitive result.

Steve is it possible to have a world clock on the forum somewhere. As this site is very international it might help us all work out what time to be on to catch up with others.

                    eg Australian times
                    USA times
                    Euro times

                    and so on.

                    Cheers
                    Andrew

                        Another suggestion....

Add a locked sticky thread to the top of the Items For Sale forum where you would add threads when you add new products to the store. Really all you would need is a link to the new product.

Reasoning: We all go to the Swap Shop For Sale area and we all want to know when you've added new goodies for us to buy :)
I know there is another area for new products and such...but this would be much more accessible and visible
                        This is NOT a toy?!?
