Hello everyone. I am building my first boat and have a couple of questions. I have a 32" cat and am going to run a single motor setup with a inline rudder/strut combo in3/16 with a .187 flex shaft and offset rudder. When i was fitting my parts together i noticed the stuffing tube would not fit into the strut. Do i need to force it in or does it just but up against it. Let me add that the tube is a piece of 9/32" brass reduced to 1/4" with teflon liner installed. Also when i insert the shaft through the stut it seem to be a pretty tight fit in the bushing installed in the end of the strut and takes some force to turn it. Is this normal. Also looking for motor and battery input. I already have a hobbyking ss 190-200a esc with water cooling added. Sorry for the long post but new at thisand dont want to build something that is going to a on going problem. Thanks for everyones advise. Brett.
