    Fightercat Daytona question

i have a Daytona hull that i have had sitting for almost a year and done nothing with but paint. i have just purchased my 110mm 3/16 stinger to run twins. my question is, i have 2 different sets of outrunner to choose from that i have purchased in the last year or so.(whether it was right or wrong idk) first set is a t600 4030 1400kv that one is mounted in my mean machine with a suppo 200a esc. the other set is a t500 3126 1300kv that looks small for this hull. i would like to run on 4s per motor with the options of 6s. also what props for the best setup, not looking for an all out speed demon, but something in the 50mph range would be ideal. also if there is any inexpensive inrunners i should look at. i am on a budget with 2 kids, house and wife that hates me spending money on my hoobies all at once lol. thanks in advance, heres some pics.

The T600 is a monster and has very high torque,
Also if you just did a single setup with T600 I think it would be a hand full for that narrow hull.
That hull will torque roll very easy with to big of a prop and monster motor,
      I have one with a neu 1515 1y 2200kv running on 4s with a x442 and some times a m445.
With speeds of 48 mph gps, But it will blow over if you do not watch out and really drive the boat.
How does it run in your MM hull and do you have any video's of it running ?
I think the T500 will do the job fine for that hull and for the speeds you are looking for.
As for props I would start small with x440 or if you could fine them x440/3,
And see what temps you have and how the hull handles the setup.
Than may be x442 and so on.
I can load a video if you want to see it running.

so i should only run one of the t500 i have? i really want to go twins i have all the hardware on the wa for this hull. is there a smaller motor suggestion for 4-6s operation with twins. id love to see a vid and i never had my mm runnin, got sidetracked with a million other projects of buying house, new baby, new wife. now its back to project since we are all settled. plan on finishing hte mm as soon as i get a hatch for it.

The T500 motors should be fine for the twin setup.

              Yes, 19240 rpm unloaded.
But it will be a cruiser on 4s and you could always prop up with 2 x 1300kv of power.
Than on 5s things start moving faster and If you run 6s I think you will need to prop down or fly and may be fry.

What make is the esc at 125a ?
Turnigy and seaking are the same esc and a 120a should be good with one of them for each motor,
The 180a would give more had room but also cast a lot more to.
                  I have a stock P1 KOS mono with the T500 but 2000kv and a 60a seaking esc and pushing a x440/3 prop,
Run on 3s, 4s, 5s, and has be good so far.
But those out runner do ran a lot hotter than inrunners do by nature.

Im a noob compared to most guys here but I have your setup (roughly) so ill chime in on my experience.

I run the daytona twin with 2 t500 3126 1600kv on T180 escs on 6 cell each. Ran last year on x442 props and temps for all were great across the board on everything. This year I fixed my stinger mounting (the 110mm stingers dont sit right on the hull unless you add a shim) and added cnc 445 props. Temps on most were ok but motors got a bit hot. Im still trying to figure out my balance and playing with my timing. (I was told to run the timing on 15 degrees for these motors from the fighter cat forums).

My only problem with these motors is I dont think they are within spec of eachother since I get strange listing to one side until i get up on plane (one motor more powerful or something) and one motor starts up before the other when I bench test it. I have done all troubleshooting I can and it came down to motors not in spec. I think I might spend the extra coin and get some 500 series 1720kv leopard outrunners in hopes of getting better quality and motors closer in spec with eachother.

Still a long way to go in tuning...like I said im a noob with boats (this is only my second year) but am learning every day. I love this boat and the sound of the 2 outrunners spooling up puts a smile on my face every time.

                    Here was yesterdays run.

Did you try swapping the esc from motor to motor and seeing if anything changes on the start up.

Excellent thanks for the info. I'm still wondering about the 1300kv. But I'll try it, new motors in higher kv are relatively cheap.

Bah sorry bout the vid its on a buddies facebook page and he has it set to friends so thats why it prob wont load.

Ya Lenny I tried swapping escs across motors, tried swapping motors between mounts (thought one drive might be binding or something), tried recalibrating with transmitter and no matter what the one motor always starts a little after the other when I begin to pull the throttle.

Think I just got a bung motor.
