On connectors, Does anyone use 6.5 mm? I was planning on using them on the motor. Isw there anything wrong with the Castle 6.5 mm connectors?

+1 with Ken.
Side note, I had standardized all my boats using 6mm connectors a long time ago ONLY because Steve was out of 5.5 when I built my first boat.
I recently had a 6mm motor connector desolder when I tested a big prop on a hydro. I was out of 6mm but had some 5.5s lying around so I changed those to 5.5. It was then I noticed that I get a LOT more connection area with the 5.5 as they are much longer than the 6!
Could be my imagination but I think the 5.5s are running cooler...

I will never buy another castle connector. I spent the extra money thinking I was buying quality and I was sorely mistaken. Went to the OSE and Hobby King 5.5's and havent looked back. I use strictly the HK 8's as well.

FYI the castles I had loosened up with a little heat then desoldered. Not just one were talking multiple pairs.42" Osprey, 32" Pursuit, 26" Bling Rocket (rescue), Blizzard Rigger, JAE 21FE rigger, Hobby King rigger (RIP)Comment

I have over 50 boats and probably over 300 boat battery packs and use 6mm on everything (the cheap ones and good ones both) motors speedos and batts. I have never ever had one single connectior failure. Ken uses the 5.5's and he has some pretty insane setups. The 8's are really nice but at this point changing would be a logistical nightmare. We call ourselves the "Q"Comment

K. Will go with 8 on batts and 5.5 on motors.
Boats are a 36 deltaforce and a 36 team beleviever. 180 turnigy and leopard 4080 1600 kv. And have a castle 200 amp for the team believer but not sure what motor to use yet. What would I need on 6s and what prop to push it over 60mph reliably.Comment

Hey peter I did not run parallel on my whip I ran 2 separate 3S 6000mah in series to give me 6S 6000mah hope that helps. I was running a 1527/1y with a Prather 250 prop with some considerable work done to it.We call ourselves the "Q"Comment

I use 6mm on my safety loops personally, but use whatever you put on your battery, you already decided they were up to the task so no more thought is needed.Paul Upton-Taylor, Greased Weasel Racing.Comment
