I discovered a small crack in the bow of the boat about 3/8" long. It runs around the bow equally from one side to the other.About 3/8" on each side. Should I be concerned and fix it asap? It wasn't crashed or flipped and might have been there all along but I never noticed it. Any comments would help along with how to fix it if I need to..Thanks...crack.jpg

Hi, that 'crack' is looks to be close to the join between hull and deck. It will need to be repaired or you risk separation at the bow of the mouldings if the boats stuffs or has an impact, bad for your boat. One suggestion is to saturate a piece of glass cloth and push it up into the bow, with the boat standing on it's nose, this will strengthen the area. I did read some thing on another thread the other day of a similar case and this was the solution suggested. Unfortunately this is one of the cons of rtr boats, most of them need some mods to be good boats. Check out the build and proboat threads for mods that others have done also.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.

If it is not along the actual joint seam, then it is a stress crack in the gel coat and is only cosmetic. If a piece of gel flakes off then you can repair with an epoxy fillet. Maybe take a few more pics- it looks to be below the seam to me.
