My first set up using smaller prop and high rpm,s . So far i am super impressed.Got to be very gentle with the trigger though or it will wheelie like nobody,s business. The acceleration is amazing.

            er8sr,
What kv are you using? I have run a 4020 1350kv Hyperion/Scorpion on a .45 size nitro hull with an m445 prop on 6S. Just short of 50mph. Your 4025 is a tad stronger and will be a handful on your VS1. A rocket for sure.

                    Still playing around with motors I threw a Align 500mx motor on 1600kv a worn out 6s 4000 pack gps' d it @ 49.8 propped with 440

Boat is very effecient and fun to run I get a solid 5 minutes...

I did not have a good season with mine. The 7.5 outboard is too big, so for next season I will switch to the 3.5. I also had a ridiculous amount of trouble with esc,s so I didn't get a lot of running with it at all.

Ya the 7.5 is def too big. I had one so I thought i.d try. I tried a scorpion 3226 and found it was too small. Got fairly warm even with smallish props. The dr mad thrust 3674 1580kv looks like a good match but I was unable to get any real solid run times or try many props cause my t180 kept going into lvc. was unable to get it resolved. What kind of wattage does the align handle?

er8sr, Actually your picture is an OS lower which is the best of all. Your speed and run time are excellent.
Kendt a 3674/1580 on 6s should do very well. A Grim racer 42X55 or M440 on the low end and you should be able to handle an m445 on the big end.

                                The 500MX is rated a 1600 W max, and 2300 W (5 Sec burst). If 1 Watt = 0.00134 HP, then the 500MX is about 2.15 HP.
