Looks cool, but does it perform well. tunnel's need a very specific bottom design to corner well at speeds. Also, that outboard unit looks like it has a prop wash pickup but it's not in the right location.Comment

Steven's has a different cavitation plate and the prop wash pickup seems to be in the right place. Wonder if HK has made any modification ?Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

No spares listed for it yet.......
Would suck if it was not standard replacements for the flex and stub shaft.
Does look like the tfl lower though. If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?Comment

I ordered the Outer Limits when I first saw it come up on their site. I almost bought the tunnel but went for the mono instead. We are not allowed to race stepped hulls here so it's just a sport boat. But I've got any number of motors to try in it if the 3660 is not quite up to the task.
I just liked the look of the thing.
I notice that the Smash Shark has steps only on the chines. Interesting concept.See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

If you want to see how the Outer Limits & Smash Shark run go to TFL Hobby then click on boats on the top of the page & click on the Smash Shark & theirs a vid of it running. They dont have a vid for the Outer Limits but if you Google Patron Saint rc boat theirs a couple of vids of this boat running, the Patron Saint by the way is the same boat as the Outer Limits.Last edited by martin; 04-23-2013, 05:44 AM.Comment

The first impression i got from the vids is the Smash Shark turns much better at a higher speed than the Outer Limits. The Outer Limits seems to turn like a typical stepped hull if turning to fast & only comes with 1 turn fin on the right hand side of the boat generally indicating that they only turn well to the right. The Smash Shark comes with 2 turn fins indicating turning both ways better. By the way the Outer Limits was turning to the right not looking as good in the turns but may be the wrong set up on the boat.Comment
