    Hv esc

I know I've asked this before. What's out there now? Is there a latest and greatest?

Steve at OSE has Swordfish esc's as you know and Keith Bradley Boats also sells other versions of Hifei esc's... But, just add water tubes to each side of the PCB like Schulze and you you have a YGE esc clone capable of 180Amps+

    YGE CLONE

There is open copper to solder the tubes to. The one Chinese Hobby shop that sells the smaller 120amp HV (4-14 cells) has the marine version that is just conformally coated after they solder on cooling tubes.

I beat the snot out of the LV 120 amp version in my PTSS Hydro and it just keeps going. I did partially burn another one last summer but, it works for bench tests. Of course the motor it was hooked up to (UL-1) melted before the esc did.

Jim have you run 10s through one? I like the idea of the data logging feature on the SF300 but I've not seen one with my own grubby hands.

Terry: I've been using 2 of Fightercats HV controllers in my 10S Cat and Mono.....can't beat the price (at that time) and they work OK...they seem to have slow/ med/fast settings only, and thats in the linear setting of the programming!!!!!

Off and fast would suit you.

Howard had some problems with the On/Off Fightercats (I think) at the recent AZ race. Not sure if he ever found a slow or medium setting. He was trying different settings in the programming and could only get On/Off it seems.

Terry, I have only run 8s 2p at 200 amps.
By the way, I just tried Infusion molding with our fav. epoxy on a hatch WOW!!
3 layer of 10 oz. glass = 25% lighter .032 thick and much easier. It took about 20 sec to infuse 5 x 20" hatch.

That stuff is great. There are are others that are great too. Probably cheaper options too but until West fails me somehow I'm sticking with it.

Not sure how many amps I want to pull. Nobody needs to tell me how few are required to power an 1/8. I never listen anyway.

                  Electrify'n this:

It's a Dygert twin wing. Some of you have seen it run I'm sure.

Sweet ride Terry. That would be lots of fun.

ESC sorta depends on the motor too. What do you plan to install??

Haven't pinned it down yet. 22 series Neu is how I'm leaning but I haven't talked myself into it yet.

Trying to remember. Weren't there some hiccups with Neu and Schulze speedos working together?

I remember one maybe but, I think they sorted it out with caps and or firmware; it was in another thread.
