    Hobbyking Vanquish Battery/prop configeration

I just bout a already built hobbyking vanquish off ebay for $330. It has a seaking 180amp ESC and a 2200kv 4082 leapord motor. Im still using the stock prop and I really want to upgrade to a better quality prop. I have Alot of 2s batteries so surrently Im running this in 4s. What prop would anybody recommend for this setup for a little more speed but more importantly reliability and not overheat. Im looking into upgrading the motorto something a little bigger and lower KV in the future but want to enjoy it with this motor for awhile. Any advice on what prop to start with would be greatly appreciated.

I really wish I knew the exact spec on it. It came with the hull and the website gives no specs on it. Its really cheap looking but it is metal. To me the boat is maxing out RPM's really quick like it is under propped but Im not sure.

It's a good (big) size hull. M445 should get you going good. Motor should handle more. A 447/3 should work good. I'm using a 646/3 on a pursuit with pretty good results but I modified it a lil bit. 4074 2000kv HK motor had no issues spinning it. No direct experience with that hull or motor combo ( vanquish). These are just my guesses based on my basic boating knowledge.

Thanks for the input. I will probably start with the m445 and see if I need to go up or down. Are they hard to sharpen and balance. I would rather buy the prop already prepped if possible.

I measured my prop and its 50mm and if I found the right prop online for specs it 1.4 pitch. Does this mean the M445 prop is smaller as it is 45mm and I think the same pitch or am I looking at this all wrong? Im thinking the M447 would be good but does anyone think thats not a good one for me? Im probably going to order 2 different props since shipping is the same just trying to decide on which 2.

The 50mm is a bigger prop not only in diameter but also in pitch, 50mm x 1.4 ratio (1.4 x 50 ) = 70mm or 2.75" pitch. The m445 is 1.4 x 45mm = 63mm or 2.48" pitch, the m also designates the prop has the front tonques removed which also helps reduce the load.

I guess the M447 would be a good one to try then?
