Its the weekend so hopefully people will see this and start chiming in this week or its looking like I am going to have to scrap this years for lack of interest.

Hopefully this year you can get more of a variety of pictures. I would like to see some riggers and LESS twin cats. Need a nice even mix spread. Also, if the picture could maybe fit the season- that would be AWESOME!

How many more do you need to make it official?
Would you be OK with linking here from some of the other forums: Int'l Waters, Rum Runner, etc... if it hasn't already been done?

I have not yet posted on itlwtrs or rum runner.

In previous years only a few xtra have some from those forums.
I would like to get at least 60 to make it official.

Between the FE and Gas calendars I am close to 100.
Ill have to check my numbers and see exactly how many we will need.
See what happens by end of week then start collecting pictures.
As for variety it's up to the members to also make this happen can only put photos that have been submitted in the calendar.
People who send photos that i use will most likely get a discount this year.

Not to put words into Steves mouth but I think I understand what he means and thought it myself honestly.

Lots of advertisement that was placed on stuff. I think it would have more tact if the pictures were based on the fun/action of the sport and not a bit logo or credits to. I mean everyone has a right to be acknowledged and all, but a big company logo or email address etc seemed to be a little above/beyond.

I wish I had something to submit but fact of the matter is we video our runs and no pictures. Thinking of this calender I have a photography buddy Im going to invite out to one of our runs next year to get good action shots.

In response to your posting I was not intending to be advertising anything I simply gave the picture more pop and character with each photo having a theme.
I wasn't advertising for anything or having the logo be the main focal point.

If I had a plain old white boat carving a turn spraying its wake up in the air on every photo I don't think people would be interested in that.

I think there was 1 actual boat in the calendar without a "action" shot.
As you put it the advertisement is what brings the photo to life its not just the same old blue water with a FE boat.
I am not saying I don't understand somewhat of what your saying at the same time people really like the themes which is why we all put decals on our boats to be different and give it character.


I will do what I can with the photos that are submitted.
Cat hulls are obviously the most common on the site just look at the build threads.
Which also translates to more of them being featured as that's what the forum members were most interested in at the time.
