    5.5 On 8s and 10s with a Hv 240a & 5692 730kv in a 48" mono.

    Hi,

Will 5.5 bullet be ok on this setup for a 48"mono,
Using 8s and 10s some times.
    Setup will be a Swordfish 240a HV and a 5692 730kv,
    With a x447/3 to start with or a x452/3 or x455.

Let me know what you think.

Depending on what hull it is, I would probaly START with the x455 and go up from there...unless it's some sort of scale hull that can't handle it. A x447 is tiny for a hull that size, adn you won't be spinning it very fast.

That said, you will be pulling less current than a lot of guys do with 5.5mm bullets. I find that quality of solder is usually the suspect when people have hot bullets. I run 5.5mm bullets on some pretty aggressive setups and have no problems. I wouldn't be the slightest bit concerned with this setup.

      Ok thanks for the info,

The boat is this one, The 48"Stealth that Peter had.
It is a thick heavy hull,
I was not very sure on the 5.5 bullets and what amps they will handle.
And yes, Good soldering is a key for good connections and low resistance.
