Wow!
sounds like I need to get some of this stuff..
I use the spray electrical tape on my RXs but looks like I can use this stuff on most anything, even motors!

Corrosion-X is a must-have/use. I coat the insides of ALL my servos before use. Speedies too. Receivers also. Tunnel motors almost always get dunked. Squirt-Squirt & good to go.

C-X HD is gooey/gummy; coats well & stays put forever :

I have no real data to prove it; does seem to "coat" better and may last/protect longer.

On a receiver, doesn't the CX mess with the terminals when plugging in your components? You just get everything wet?

On the contrary; C-X is non-electrolytic and will prevent water intrusion from shorting out the terminals or board traces. You may notice that over time these tiny terminals inside the connectors grow some greenish corrosion which will mess with conductivity. At a race two weeks ago a racer's Rx got wet, shorted, and the boat stalled. When the retrieve boat got close by, the boat took off by itself at full chat and impaled itself on the shore, starting a battery meltdown. Some corrosion X (and bagging the Rx) would most likely have prevented this.

There are two versions here the red is thinner and that is what you want on the motor not the green much thicker version

just spray it on and let dry over night...?

It don't actually dry on. It just creates a barrier on the parts. Sometimes I spray it on before I leave the house heading to the lake. I can tell you, if you have Velcro holding anything down. The stuff with the sticky back. Corrosion X will make the glue let go, and turn into a kind of jelly

Best way to describe it is. WD-40 on steroids. WD stands for water displacement
