    Mono hull characteristics?

Didn't want to hijack the P mono thread.
Wondering what makes a high lift or low lift hull? Is it the width of the T29, angle of the Vee (deadrise) that makes it high lift?
Is there something in common between the top performing hulls? Ratio of length to width etc?
Of the two very different sized wildthings around here both are very fast stable hulls that seem to perform like a much bigger boat. I have a 25" on with a .12 nitro and Ken has one somewhere about 34" running a 6s setup.
    They have a 46 degree angle and a 3.69:1 l/w ratio - mine is 25 x 6.75
    SV27 39 or 40 degree angle 3.42:1 l/w - 27 x 7.875
Dumas DV 20 same 39 degree angle but a 3.09:1 L/W - 24 x 7.75 (hey runs great in rough water! It's either 30 years old now or next year depending on if you go by purchase or completion!)
I've always just kinda followed the herd when it comes time to buy a boat, if it's winning on Sunday I'll buy it on Monday kind of thing.
Never really thought that much about the actual design of the hulls, always though of design as black magic and I never wanted to spend the money and time to build a turd!
    Cheers
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
