Good eyes, and I totally agree with you. Not the smartest thing I've done.

So what do you mean by servo's too weak? it seems to work ok in the water. In the vid, I loosened the set screw on the servo rod just to see how much it moved on it's own.

Oh, i thought your servo rod was hooked up.................... that whole deal is strange because a boat with the counter-clockwise rotation wants to turn right naturally. When you get your trim tabs, drop the starboard one about 1/8" and leave the other one neutral. Mount the tabs about 1/16" up from the bottom of the hull..................dont make them flush with the bottom.

Yea, the power of the motor is insane. it has so much getup and go. The only problem is when you get going 25+. So weird. It wants to turn left, and i turn right to compensate, and the faster I go the more it leans clockwise (when viewed from the rear). I haven't pushed it yet, but it would completely roll over if I did.

For the record, my prop was sharpened with my dremel, and probably pretty poorly. Maybe that attributes to the clockwise roll.

OK, so rule out too large of a prop...................So...........raise the outdrive up. I see its at the lowest point, move it up about 20% of full tilt and try again.................the prop may be diggin too much which will cause bad tilting

                    sh!t. lol.

however, I will say they still work better than not having them :)

I had tried turn fins on my blast and it sucked, there is just so much you can do with the boat, I found that out the hard way.

I know. It's frustrating. This is my first modern rc anything, so i really didnt know much. I feel like im so close to getting good speed though.

Really, though i know that if trim tabs and the other prop dont help, then its new hull time. Im just unsure of how to build it. I like the df 26 a lot, but i have no knowledge of the driveline nor steering and outdrive.

I appreciate all the help so far guys.

                        1am *sigh*

Giving the Blast one more chance at greatness, in a twisted 'throw money at it' sort of way.

                          Don't judge me...

Did you ever figure out how to raise the outdrive?? There is a nut and bolt at the top, once loosened it can slide back and forward, raise the prop end up.......so you will need to slide the nut/bolt towards the transom. I didnt want to say anything about your fins earlier, but they are a bit goofy........in a "newb" kinda way LOL

                            So:

Right trim tab down a bit lower than left looking from the rear
Raise the outdrive to give it some negative(prop goes up)
Take ONE screw out of the fins and epoxy the hole in and redrill the outer hole with the fin tilted using the same inner hole.

Just do it!!!! as Nike says

Usually the turn fins aren't positions straight like that. Not sure if that helps or hurts

Yea... I actually took that nut and loosened it and put it all the way DOWN. IT was all the way up before. We'll see what happens tonight when i run it. I think that before i mess around with the fins, i'll see if it will run better with the tabs. If not, there's no reason to do more work and i'll just get the DF 26 hull. I also have a glass filled prop i'll try too.

Testing, testing. I need my own backyard lake.
