Looking for a N-2 (<27") cat for SAW racing

My Black Jack may work as an N-2 Offshore boat (find out at the NAMBA FE Nats in June), but I'm looking for a low profile cat hull max 27" long that would make a good SAW build. Suggestions please.JIM

Fightercat has one on the way really soon. Get with keithbradley about it. I believe he is building one.

I don't know if it would work for SAW but why hasn't anyone converted an AQ Wildcat into an N2 offshore? Where's Dennis Whitt when you need him. HAHA He would have already run one through the traps.

              I have a drifter S @ 26" I'm going to be running with a 4200kv lehner this summer.
Same hull Tony just did 67mph with a AQ2030 kv can.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Thanks all. I just ordered the 27" Lynx cat. Don't know if it's like the carbon fiber one or.......... I'm waiting for Fightercat to respond. JIM

I got a Lynx cat hull on the today along with 2 x 300A race packs escs and a pair of 4092 1600kv Tp motors
                  scarry times ahead
TP motor are for my Chetath twin/maybe single set up
Not the Lynx,LOL i will have to take a picture of a twin 4092 Lynx
Going to run my Lynx with a light weight etti all in one ruder and single etti 4100kv motor on 3s 32/34.5mm prop and a Leopard 2860 3400kv on 3s and 4s
                  3s 37.5/39 mm prop
                  4s 34.5mm/36 prop
iv seen a twin setup run these motors on 4s and in runs great, and turns out to be a reliable high RMP setup using T120 escs im going to us a FC 160 to make sure
i run a few Leopard 2860 3400kv motor in a mono 1 on 3s 39mm prop and it a great little motor, fast and get good run times, iv just changed the motor bearings to a ceramic set
hope they will hold up to 50,000 rmp saw runs cant recall if they are RMP rated, ABEC 9 bearings I think i got?
I think they are only FG Hulls Jim, maybe if we are lucky they might be kelvlar linned.

Where did you get the TP 4092 motor from also how did you remove the end caps on the 2860 motor to fit new bearings. Thanks Martin.

I held the motor in one hand around the can, and gave the shaft a light whack with a hammer it pops the end plate straight out its not threaded like the etti motors it has a plastic lip build in the end cap, really easy to do, the end plate snaps back in
the motor I did was the newer 2860 3400kv the one with the drilled factory end plates ,but im sure they are all the same.

Sam, Benjamin at Fighter Cat sent me an email today saying he had one carbon fiber hull in stock for an extra $50 bucks, so I jumped on it. The basic hull is polyester fiberglass with a white exterior. JIM

The end cap on the wires end are bonded in to the but easy to break the bond by tapping the shaft but you must bond back in again ecspecially with the drive shaft pushing against the motor shaft, or youll push the end cap out of the can. Both end caps are aluminium, i will drill & tap the end cap with 3 screws like the larger leopards.

It's pretty drastic but very doable to cut the rear end off of a 32" cat, HOR, Fightercat, etc....

Even better maybe if you like a different sponson profile go for a FC 37" datona and cut 10" off. It is skinny enough to actually work, at least in my head, LOL...
