What voltage do you want to run? The answers to your questions will depend largely on the voltage - 2S, 4S, 6S. Also, what type of running - oval racing, SAW, sport?

Where in Texas do you live?

The seaking esc's are AWESOME especially the 180s, the problem is def not the esc's it your setup. Your setup needs a lot of work, if your running a kb45 (which are terrible amp sucking motors to begine with) on 6s that's the issue. If your runing the 8L which is 2300kv on 6s, that's a WHOLE lot of unloaded rpm's and add the fact the KB series motors are typically inefficient and that is what is leading to your esc failures. Until you change your setup, your gonna keep blowing esc's. There is not a motor that is gonna satisfy your needs for 3s and 6s operation, it's either one or the other and running 3s on that sprintcat may not be the best either. I would stick with 4s or 5s setup on that sprintcat. Look at the Leopard 4074 range of motors in the 1600-1800 range on 4s or 5s or 1900-2200 range on 4s... JMHO

I ran a CC/Neu 1518 which is 1800kv, on 4 and 5s. More than enough power for that hull.

looks like a 29-30" hull. how fast did she run on 4s, then how fast on 5s. i use a pond that is always calm.
im really looking for an insane fast boat. got the hull, just need the right equipment

                kv

Id go with something around 1500kv and start with a m445. That should be pretty quick then u can add prop if everything holds up.

You need to determine what type of setup you want. Do you want a saw type for a few short passes of just per speed or do you want a a sport style setup for decent speed and average runtime.

if you have 6s and want to run that, you could run a Leopard 3674-4074 1400kv on 6s
Lots of power that can be ran with different props for sport or some faster runs if wanted..
and a T-180 esc should work just fine...

                        would this work - 29" sprintcat leopard 4082-4d/1450 kv/rpm 120/240HV esc 2x 3s2p 4000mah 20-30c in paralell w/octura 440/3 or 447/3

I have one that I run a Neu 1515 2200kv in, it runs low 50's with x445 or x642 on 4s2p Turnigy 5000mah. The 4082 will work but you won't be able to use it's full potential in a 29" boat. I tried a few bigger motors and with those you'll need bigger props and the 29" boat just isn't going to work well with them.

with the 440/3 it should run real nice..

does full potential mean hot motors or esc??
were talking 32K rpms, it will run sweet!
you don't need big props on a 29" hull with those rpms to get good speeds and take advantage of a 4082 motor

Use the 36-75-1 Arc motor on 6s.

In a hull that small, you will have your hands full with this motor on 6s. You wont need to run 2p. Use two 3s 5000mah 40-50c packs in series. No need for a 40mm motor in that boat. Use a 180 amp speedo and start with an X442. There is your stupid fast, reliable set up in your small hull. Itll be in the 60's with no problem. By the way, you dont need to start multiple threads asking the same questions. Ask em all here.
