Does anyone have a place to get the mill and time clock for racing? Maybe on CD or ipod?

Steve, I'll track Fred down later today. He has a couple simple files he can send you. One is a standard countdown and the other is a standard count with the 4 minute offshore countdown bolted to the back end of it. They will play on an Ipod. We pipe it through our PA system. Works sweet.
We should post it in your tips n' tools or something for anyone that wants it. We'll get it for ya though.Noisy person -
Here are audio files for a 2:30 and 30 second countdown. (on the bottom of the page).

A clock sitting in the middle of race course is just something else for me to hit!!!!
Seriously I think people like what they are used to. I started with an audio clock and prefer to keep my eyes on the boat. I adapt when traveling outside the district.
Another thing, those giant LED clocks are EXPENSIVE!!!Mike Chirillo

Our clubs big clock hasn't been used in I don't know how many years,,,,,,,,,,
It is just sitting in the storage shed out back out of the elements.Comment

BTW The floating clocks carry their own power supply. Have seen quite a few 12V car batteries get dumped in the pond from boats hitting the clock barge. Don't know why the club guys wouldn't tie on a safety strap to keep them from sinking. Then again I don't know why we are being forced into a socialistic society either.Comment

I did some googling. The display is pricey on it's own. Then you have to figure out how to make it do what you want it to. Either hard wired to your laptop or a remote control. More money. I would not want to have to get a 8088 DOS based machine like Randal runs. hahaha
Why wouldn't they build the barge with pockets and straps for the batteries? Seems silly to me.Noisy personComment

We've got a clock Carl?? It would be nice if we could convert it to display heat numbers and mount it on the drivers stand.Mike Chirillo

Why don't we just tie Alan to a post. He can use his arms to signal a start. He could call boats over too. 2 Birds with one stone! All we have to do is once in a while sunscreen him and feed him.Comment
