    hot plugs

i am sure this has been answered somewhere on here but here is the question...friends boat miss geigo has same setup as mine....my deans run cool and useing 35c 5000ma batteries...his had 60c 5600 ma batteries and his deans plugs got pretty hot.......very short run like 2 min....everything else was nice and cool.......is it the batteries burst rate makeing ithe plugs hot?

i know what u are going to say...get rid of the deans and go to the 5.5 bullets but was wondering about 60c batteries

Driving habits have some input to this too, but I just went to Castle 5.5 plugs on my upgraded MG boat, and I am not impressed with them as the spring tension varies so much that I had some melt the solder and the plugs came apart...there has to be a better mouse trap. This is my first use of these new plugs and if I have to adjust the tension on these every time, they are gone! Just my own opinion on these...
There is no replacement for displacement, I guess I just have to Buzz it higher!

The problem is his batteries can ultimately deliver 336A bursts of power! (not that his motor will ask for that much) and Deans are rated at 60A. Like you assumed, he needs to go to bullet connectors - and I suggest 8mm. No need to try 5.5's and have to keep changing to larger sizes later. After which his boat will be faster than yours. Possibly quite a bit faster........
