Finishing up my 36" balsa cat and ready to seal her up. balsa and ply with 2part foam in bow and carbon fiber laid in rest of inside. sides have 1/16" vertical grain with sanded down 1/4" horizontal grain - plenty strong.
Now I am wondering if glassing is a must. I can probably get away with one coat of West Systems w/o glassing, might need 2-3 if I go with glass.. adding weight.
