So I started trying to call at 10.40pm here which would make that 8.30am over there and kept getting either a busy tone or remy's machine "Hello thank you for calling aeromarine, on other calls, please try again later." so I did, all night, every hour I would try about 1/2 dozen attemps with no luck. would someone buy a 42" sprintcat with either the extreme cowl or the classic cowl, no rails, and a fully carbon reinforced lining from end to end, and one of those cheap mean machines $90 with hardware, pm me and if you can get this for me I'll cash up your paypal $50 on top of the cost of the hull and postage!

Thanks mate, I've just sent you an email. I forgot to say in it that I don't want rails. I appreciate your help.

With a lot of help from Chris, it's all happening, I hope to get started in a couple weeks. He's been kind enough to organise me both the sprint cat and one of those water damaged mean machines, so twin 1717's and 1717 mean machine here I come. He also put me onto the williams mounts [email protected]
so I've ordered a twin floor mount and 3x water cooling cans.
A huge Thanks to Chris, dasboata for all your help!!!!

I have finally got around to making a start on this build. After about 3 hours on the dremel, I have the stringers out and cleaned up the mess left behind. I would like any advise possible with this build being that it's my first twin. I've been toying around and have come up with a mock set up that I'm guessing might work, please take a look at the pic's below and tell me your thoughts. I'm thinking that if I have the struts the same distance as the motor couplers, it'll have less bends in the stuffing tube. To do this I think I will leave the inside strut mounting bracket off and make a reverse 90degree bracket out of 50x50x3mm angle aluminium that'll act as a backing plate and bolt on using the same bolts as the original outside mounting bracket. I'll have to buy some longer struts as these ones are too short and will leave the props far too high, if I mount them lower, it'll make my life hell trying to put the nut on inside the hull. Where should I look for a couple of 3/16 struts that have approx. 90-100mm height, or will I have to modify a 1/4 100mm strut and if so, what about the skeg struts??

the rear shot of the boat:
if it is sitting flat on the table top and the struts are resting ON the table top, YOU ARE SET TO GO!!!!!

also, a nice gentle S bend is a good thing to have.

                    Gday Danny.
                    The motors look nice !
And look @ COG... allow 32-35% variation.
CF over the tunnel ... support those 2 motors ..... stops droning and Fg movement.. roll CF 20mm over into spons .. strength in curves ..
CFx2 at transom or those 2 struts will tear you a new hole !
The sponsons are strong as is in my limited experience .

Fluid ( Jay ) has an abundance of cat knowledge .. rattle his cage .. !

I hope to get back into finishing this boat this week, the water has been glass every evening since I got back from our holiday and all I can think is how I'd love to be driving it.

Cool! I like the setup with middle mounted motors instead of the sponsons. I run that configuration too and do not experience any difference in handling. It runs like a %ยค"%" just like it should :) (mine is with twin 3674's 2800kv on 3s2p and TJM 40/3 props. It did ~55 mph on the first run without any trimming or fiddleing)
                                25" Arrowana with Etti 2970 3300kV. RCMK Flying Cat with twin HOR Outboards. 2 x SSS 4092 2140kV. Faluga 45" with Leo 56110 620 kv on 12s.
