    Tube slidding

    HI Guys Just got a used MG. Said not used much. Trouble is,the teflon/plastic liner keeps sliding up to jam nut. Why. What do I do to fix. Will getting new liner fix. Any help will be appreciated.

    Use a bit of water tubing to keep it in place. Overlap the stuffing tube and teflon liner.

      You can also add a new longer tube if you have one.

        Ok But is the tubing or longer tube going to hurt riding on the flex shaft or nut.

          mine slides up to the jam nut ......dont worry about it just keep flex shaft greesed well.....

            YA I greased shaft, push the liner back,put back together and hit throttle one time POO- GREASE EVERWERE.Lots off cleaning. THANKS for the input everyone

              I use a piece of shrink tubing - it helps with both problems.
