What to do with this?

I picked this boat up off of a guy on craigslist a couple weeks ago for $20 and I'm still trying to figure out what I should do with it. The guy hand built the boat several years ago. I know that the outboard is worth well more than I payed for the boat, but I don't know if I should run it or sell the outboard and make the boat an inboard with a surface drive. I'm not too worried about having a speed demon since I have my sv27 for now,
Any thoughts?
