Hi Guys, New to Electric, Looking @ A Raptor Rigger

1st off, i would to like to introduce myself and say hello.

i have been in r/c since 1984, seen and done pretty much everything there is in the hobby over the years.
i currently have a shop full of gas boats, and i am also heavy into the hpi baja scene with a 5t and 5b. as a matter of fact i am a manufacturer of some quality moddified parts for those, i own a company called Inertia Racing Products.

i am now getting into the FE side of the boat world and would like some 411 and advice on a boat.
i am looking very hard at the Raptor composite rigger, i have been in touch with Doug @ RRH, but i would like to know you guys opinion on that particular boat.

any input and info is appreciated.

    thanks in advance,
    Giz.

Built, designed, and raced by one of the FE finest. Never heard a negative thing said about it.

      Buddy,

Brian is a top notch builder and designer. His hulls are some of the finest you will come across. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I believe the raptor rigger is currently set-up for P-spec power systems. These use a controller and motor from the Aqucraft UL-1 or similar power system. If you search here you will find several build threads on the rigger build.

        Tyler,

thanks man.. yea thats the target class for next year, i have looked at many boats for that class and this seems to be the hot ticket.

after so many years in the hobby i have learned to buy quality up front, rather then spend a ton of money to only end up top notch in the end...

        thanks for the input guys,
        Giz.

I own a JAE and it's a fine rigger. I'm going to be building a raptor rigger hopefully next spring. Brian is a very knowledgable guy and has top notch products and craftsmanship.
